WaveSave Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how WaveSave collects, uses, and shares information when you use the WaveSave app and related services.
WaveSave is based in London, Ontario, Canada.
For privacy questions, contact support@wavesave.app.
1. Summary
WaveSave is designed to work without user accounts.
WaveSave does not require you to create an account, sign in, provide your name, or provide your email address to use the core app.
When you refresh prices, WaveSave may collect limited, non-user-identifying refresh analytics. These analytics help WaveSave improve reliability, troubleshoot refresh issues, and understand which merchant domains are being refreshed.
Refresh analytics are on by default and can be turned off anytime in Settings.
WaveSave may display ads through Google AdMob. Ads can be disabled by purchasing or enabling WaveSave Pro, where available.
WaveSave may use affiliate, referral, or commissionable links or codes. If WaveSave uses or applies an affiliate link or code, WaveSave will notify you. Affiliate links and codes do not increase the price you pay and do not affect which offers are shown or how offers are ranked.
2. Information WaveSave Collects
2.1 Refresh Analytics
When you refresh prices in WaveSave, the app may collect limited, non-user-identifying refresh analytics.
Refresh analytics may include:
- date and time of the refresh;
- app version;
- platform, such as iOS or Android;
- country or region;
- refresh type, such as manual refresh;
- number of items refreshed;
- merchant domains checked;
- success counts; and
- failure counts.
For example, WaveSave may record that a refresh occurred on iOS in Canada, using a specific app version, for one item from global.lttstore.com, and whether that refresh succeeded or failed.
WaveSave refresh analytics do not include:
- full URLs;
- query parameters;
- cart contents;
- browsing history;
- user accounts;
- names;
- email addresses;
- user IDs;
- advertising identifiers; or
- device identifiers.
WaveSave does not use refresh analytics to identify you.
2.2 Support Emails
If you contact WaveSave at support@wavesave.app, WaveSave may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, screenshots or attachments, details about the issue you are reporting, and any other information you include in your support request.
WaveSave uses this information to respond to you, troubleshoot issues, improve the app, and keep records of support communications.
2.3 In-App Issue Reports
WaveSave may allow you to submit issues with specific links, merchants, products, or refresh results from inside the app.
If you submit an issue report, WaveSave may receive information included in the report, such as the merchant domain, affected link or item details, issue description, app version, platform, country or region, refresh result information, and any other information you choose to submit.
Refresh analytics do not collect full URLs. However, if you choose to submit an issue report about a specific link, the issue report may include link-specific information needed to investigate the issue.
2.4 WaveSave Pro and In-App Purchases
WaveSave may offer a paid WaveSave Pro version or other in-app purchases.
In-app purchases are processed by the applicable app store or payment platform, such as Apple’s App Store or Google Play. WaveSave does not receive your full payment card number.
WaveSave may receive or store limited purchase-related information needed to confirm that WaveSave Pro is active, such as purchase status, entitlement status, product identifier, transaction status, or similar app-store-provided information.
WaveSave Pro may disable in-app ads, where available. WaveSave Pro does not guarantee price accuracy, merchant availability, successful refreshes, or any particular third-party merchant outcome.
2.5 Ads and Google AdMob
WaveSave may display ads using Google AdMob.
WaveSave does not provide its refresh analytics to Google AdMob. However, Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect or process information independently to provide ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, improve ad services, comply with advertising requirements, or operate Google’s services.
The information collected or processed by Google AdMob may depend on your device, operating system, app settings, consent choices, region, and Google’s SDK configuration.
If you purchase or enable WaveSave Pro and ads are disabled, WaveSave should stop requesting in-app ads while Pro is active. This does not delete or change any information that Google may have already processed before ads were disabled.
2.6 App Store and Platform Data
The app store or device platform you use may collect information under its own terms and privacy policy. For example, Apple, Google, or another platform may process information related to app downloads, in-app purchases, refunds, crash reports, diagnostics, or device-level settings.
WaveSave does not control those platform privacy practices.
3. Information WaveSave Does Not Collect Through Refresh Analytics
WaveSave’s refresh analytics do not collect full URLs, query parameters, cart contents, browsing history, user account IDs, WaveSave account information, names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment card numbers, advertising identifiers, device identifiers, or precise location.
WaveSave does not have WaveSave user accounts.
WaveSave does not sell refresh analytics.
WaveSave does not provide refresh analytics to Google AdMob.
4. How WaveSave Uses Information
WaveSave may use information to operate the app, refresh prices, improve reliability, troubleshoot refresh failures, identify broad refresh success and failure patterns, understand which merchant domains are being refreshed, prioritize bug fixes and merchant compatibility improvements, decide which merchant domains to contact for possible affiliate relationships, respond to support requests, investigate issue reports, provide or restore WaveSave Pro or other in-app purchases, display ads where ads are enabled, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and enforce WaveSave’s Terms of Use.
WaveSave may use aggregated refresh analytics to understand app performance and merchant-domain usage trends. Aggregated refresh analytics are not used to identify individual users.
5. Refresh Analytics Setting
Refresh analytics are on by default.
You can turn refresh analytics off anytime in Settings.
If you turn refresh analytics off, WaveSave will not save optional refresh analytics from future price refreshes. Turning refresh analytics off does not delete refresh analytics that may have already been collected before the setting was changed.
Because refresh analytics are not linked to a user account or user ID, WaveSave may not be able to identify or delete a specific past refresh event as belonging to you.
6. Affiliate Links and Codes
WaveSave may use affiliate, referral, or commissionable links or codes.
This means WaveSave may earn a commission if you click a link, use a code, or make a purchase through the app.
Affiliate links and codes do not increase the price you pay, do not affect which offers are shown, do not affect how offers are ranked, and will be disclosed when used or applied.
If WaveSave applies an affiliate code, WaveSave will notify you and allow you to remove the affiliate code.
WaveSave may use aggregated, non-user-identifying merchant-domain refresh analytics to decide which merchants to contact for possible affiliate relationships.
WaveSave does not use refresh analytics to measure user-level affiliate performance.
7. When WaveSave Shares Information
7.1 Service Providers
WaveSave may use service providers to host, operate, maintain, secure, or improve the app. Service providers may process information only as needed to provide services to WaveSave.
7.2 Google AdMob
If ads are enabled, Google AdMob may collect or process information independently through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. WaveSave does not provide its refresh analytics to Google AdMob.
7.3 App Stores and Payment Platforms
If you purchase WaveSave Pro or another in-app purchase, the applicable app store or payment platform processes the payment. WaveSave may receive limited information needed to confirm purchase or entitlement status, but WaveSave does not receive your full payment card number.
7.4 Affiliate Networks or Merchants
If WaveSave uses an affiliate, referral, or commissionable link or code, an affiliate network, merchant, or partner may process information needed to attribute the link, code, click, purchase, or commission. WaveSave will notify you when an affiliate link or code is used or applied.
7.5 Legal, Safety, and Compliance
WaveSave may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect WaveSave, users, merchants, or others, investigate fraud, enforce the Terms of Use, or protect legal rights.
7.6 Business Transfers
If WaveSave is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale, financing, reorganization, or transfer of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a replacement policy provided to users.
8. Ads and WaveSave Pro
WaveSave may show ads through Google AdMob in the free version of the app.
WaveSave Pro may disable in-app ads, where available.
When ads are disabled through WaveSave Pro, WaveSave should stop requesting in-app ads while Pro is active. However, WaveSave Pro does not control information that Google or another advertising provider may have already processed before ads were disabled.
WaveSave Pro does not disable refresh analytics by itself. Refresh analytics can be turned off separately in Settings.
9. Data Retention
WaveSave keeps information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
Refresh analytics may be kept for app improvement, troubleshooting, reliability analysis, merchant-domain trend analysis, and possible affiliate outreach planning.
Support emails and issue reports may be kept as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, maintain records, and improve the app.
Aggregated or non-user-identifying information may be kept for longer periods.
10. Security
WaveSave uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information.
No app, website, server, or transmission method is completely secure. WaveSave cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International Processing
WaveSave is based in Canada.
Some service providers, app stores, advertising providers, affiliate partners, or infrastructure providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries.
Information processed outside your province, territory, or country may be subject to the laws of the place where it is processed.
12. Your Choices
You can turn refresh analytics off in Settings, purchase or enable WaveSave Pro to disable in-app ads where available, remove an affiliate code when WaveSave applies one, choose not to use merchant links or affiliate links, choose not to submit in-app issue reports, contact WaveSave at support@wavesave.app with privacy questions, and use device, app store, or Google settings to manage certain advertising or privacy choices.
Because WaveSave does not use user accounts or user IDs for refresh analytics, WaveSave may not be able to locate refresh analytics associated with a specific person.
If you contact support by email, WaveSave may be able to access, respond to, or delete support communications associated with your email address, subject to legal and operational requirements.
13. Children’s Privacy
WaveSave is not directed to children.
WaveSave does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to WaveSave, contact support@wavesave.app.
14. Third-Party Websites and Services
WaveSave may link to or interact with third-party merchants, websites, checkout pages, app stores, advertising services, affiliate networks, Reddit, or other third-party services.
WaveSave does not control those third parties. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services.
The WaveSave Reddit community, if used, is hosted by Reddit and is governed by Reddit’s own terms and privacy policy.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
WaveSave may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If changes are material, WaveSave may provide notice through the app or by other reasonable means.
The “Last updated” date shows when this Privacy Policy was last revised.
